Skincare Tips After Holi

Holi is one of my favorite festivals because I love colors and playing with water is like a stress buster for me. In a rush to play Holi, I always forget to take all the precautionary measures to protect my skin from damage. This post is for people like me who forget the skin care part before playing Holi. I am writing down some of the post Holi skin care measures which will act as a boon for your skin 😉

Keep Yourself Hydrated

Have a lot of water after playing Holi because chemicals in colors will take away all the moisture from your skin and will make it dry and itchy.

Wash Off Colors While Wet

Try to wash the colors as soon as possible after playing Holi because it is way more difficult to get rid of colors after they dry.

Get Rid Of Colors From Your Face

Wash your face with lukewarm water and then apply a mixture of sea salt, glycerine and aroma oil. This mixture has anti-bacterial properties which will protect your skin from chemical effects.

Do Not Rub Your Skin Harshly

Never ever rub your skin harshly in order to get rid of colors. Try baby oil or face wash to wash your face and then apply a good moisturizer after that.

No Waxing, Bleaching or Facial

Avoid waxing, bleaching or facial for at least 10 days before and after Holi because these beauty treatments leave your pores open which can lead to chemicals seeping deep into your skin.

These tips will keep you sorted for Holi. Enjoyyyy 😀
