Sustainable Fashion Will Be the new trend In 2017

Sustainable fashion also called eco fashion or green fashion is a well-known term now. For those who don’t know what Sustainable or Green Fashion is: Sustainable Fashion refers to clothing or accessories which are manufactured without harming the environment. This is what we call an Eco-Friendly Fashion. There are very few brands in the market who follow sustainable fashion. Now, fashion enthusiasts have started supporting green fashion. As a result, this market is growing at a fast pace and new players are entering this industry and one of those environment conscious brand is Akira Ming.

Akira Ming is an ethical label founded by Divya Ahluwalia. She has been working as a Fashion designer from past 17 years, her love for fashion and environment helped her to start Akira Ming. I love the whole idea behind Akira Ming. Divya wanted to create an environmental friendly label keeping the latest trends in mind. Her daughter’s affection and care for animals and environment inspired her to go ahead with the label. So, she named the brand after her daughter’s name.

All their products are eco-friendly. They are not treated with toxins and chemicals, all their dyes are vegetable dyes and are ecological. They are not only good for the environment but are excellent for your skin too. All of the dresses and tops are made of 100% Ahimsa Silk or Cotton malkha. Ahimsa silk, also known as peace silk, because the process of manufacturing this silk does not involve the killing of silkworms. Ahimsa Silk is pulled out when the moth has left the cocoon. Each and every cocoon is checked to make sure that moth has escaped from the cocoon. Similarly, Malkha is made from raw cotton. Malkha is usually made in cotton producing villages and near cotton fields. The Malkha Cotton Cloth is very soft because Malkha manufacturing doesn’t involve heavy machinery processing.

I love Akira Ming’s designs, everything they have on their website is very fashionable and in trend. They offer everything from tops to kimono dress, wrap dress to an a-line dress. All their dresses are either hand block printed, yard dyed or tie and dyed. One of my favorites is their Kiara Dress in Ahimsa Silk. I love the kimono look of this dress. Drawstring at the waist helps to adjust the fitting of the dress. The tie and dye print is done by using environmental friendly dye. It is one of the most gorgeous pieces from their collection.

Placing an order with Akira Ming is very easy. Just add the product to your cart, create an account, add the shipping and billing details, choose the payment method and you are done.
